Anna, 30, is a tech sales professional who changed her physique by gaining muscle and losing fat with Ganbaru Method.

Health and fitness was something Anna struggled with throughout her life. In high school, she was treated for anorexia, and in college, she went the opposite direction and gained a lot of weight.

She considered herself unhealthy in her early 20s, but got healthier in her mid-20s as she started having more home-cooked meals and went on long walks with her new puppy.

I randomly decided to weight myself and realized I lost 20 pounds without much effort. The easy win showed me that incorporating small lifestyle changes can turn my life around.

She learned about staying active, tracking macros, and quitting alcohol. From being a daily drinker, Anna has now been alcohol-free for over three years.

Adding weightlifting into the mix

Like many, Anna used to have the misconception that lifting would make her bulky. (She now knows it required a lot more effort than that.)

Her husband convinced her to start weightlifting 2 years ago, where she found Eugene’s YouTube channel.

Fitness finally seemed approachable as Eugene had an abundance of knowledge and a variety of women-centric workout videos.

When asked “Have you tried other fitness modes, classes, gyms, apps, etc?”, Anna replied with

The easier question would be what haven’t I tried?!

She had gone through “all” fitness styles, but always felt dread as classes felt like a chore. Now, she looks forward to lifting with Ganbaru Method as it’s easy to use and notice improvements.

Anna lost 20 pounds at the start of her fitness journey, and has lost 50 pounds in total. But this before and after photo shows her at the same weight!

Anna’s favourite programs

While Anna’s go-to programs are the strength programs, the latest app update and program introductions have allowed Anna to find her splits (splits & mobility programs). She even started incorporating running with the the Run Coach program and was shocked (Anna says she’s a terrible runner) that she managed to follow the run exactly as prescribed.

I’m so grateful for Ganbaru Method. The interface is easy, workouts challenging, and forms video vital. I just show up and do what it says.

I have a health science degree so I thought I knew what I was doing. But I wasn’t being efficient in the gym, and Ganbaru Method spells it out for me — so I don’t have to go through the effort of researching optimal ways to work out.
